I don’t know too much about the case but from what I’ve picked up, Zimmerman was a neighborhood watch and followed Trayvon to a liquor store. Zimmerman called the copes on Trayvon and told the police that he look suspicious but was told to let it go. At the liquor store, Martin and Zimmerman exchanged words and eventually Trayvon said that he wasn’t doing anything bad, he just went to the store to by skittles and an Iced tea for his brother. Later on, people heard Trayvon cry for help and immediately after, gunshots were followed. The cries stopped and Zimmerman said that he shot Martin out of self defense and it was him who was crying for help, not Treyvon. Although there are witnesses saying it was treyvon crying, Zimmerman had a gun without a license and has no evidence of Martin doing anything in order to defend himself. It is speculated that the cop in charge is in fact covering for Zimmerman.
